Mgr. Jitka Šerclová – portrait

I see healing as my life’s calling.

I’m a physiotherapist with more than 20 years of experience and a certified McKenzie therapist since 2009. I opened my practice, Physiotherapy for You, in spring 2013 in Prague 8 – Kobylisy.

My work focuses on finding the true cause of your problems and treating each of you individually. I don’t work with one‑size‑fits‑all procedures – together we look for a solution that makes sense for your body and your situation.

My own experience with back pain, and my subsequent encounter with the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, in which I gained international certification, had a major influence on my therapeutic approach. Another decisive influence was my own experience with very limiting tailbone pain and resolving it with the 3x3 method.

I see physiotherapy as a process in which the client learns to understand their body and gradually takes responsibility for their health.

In my work I connect physiotherapy with awareness of the body, the mind and everyday functioning, so that following my recommendations and exercises is realistic in ordinary life.

I co‑translated the publications of Robin McKenzie et al. – Treat Your Own Shoulder, Knee and Neck. More about the books

And finally, the most important thing: the joy of movement

It makes me HAPPY when you tell me: “I ENJOY MY WALKS AGAIN, I CARRIED A BACKPACK and NOTHING HURT, I CAN DO SPORTS AGAIN”

The body is made to move – and movement can bring joy.

Come even in acute pain.

Your body’s reactions will show us which direction to take and what will help you most right now. Even a single session can make it clear how to move forward.
